肖千大使应邀出席2026年全澳华人马年春节联欢晚会

2026年2月6日，肖千大使应邀出席堪培拉侨界在澳联邦议会大会堂举办的2026年全澳华人马年春节联欢晚会，与澳联邦参议员波科克、新州亚斯市市长琼斯等各界人士数百人欢聚一堂，共庆新春佳节。澳总督莫斯廷为晚会发来视频贺词，祝福澳大利亚华人新年快乐。

肖大使首先向莫斯廷总督及在澳华侨华人、澳大利亚人民致以新春祝福并表示，春节起源于中国同时属于全世界，中澳人民共庆春节，表达了和谐、和睦、和平的全人类共同追求。过去一年，中澳关系持续改善并稳步向前。中方愿同澳方一道，推动中澳全面战略伙伴关系实现更大发展，期待华社继续在中澳友好进程中展现担当。

晚会上，来自澳各地华社及当地其他族裔的文艺团体同台呈现了一场精彩的庆新春文艺演出。

Ambassador Xiao Qian was invited to attend the 2026 Chinese Australian National New Year Gala

On February 6, 2026, Ambassador Xiao Qian was invited to attend the 2026 Chinese Australian National New Year Gala hosted by the Canberra Chinese community at the Great Hall of Australian Parliament House. Hundreds of people attended this event, including Senator David Pocock, Mayor of Yass Jasmin Jones, to celebrate Chinese New Year together. Her Excellency the Honorable Governor-General Sam Mostyn sent a video message conveying her congratulations and extending New Year greetings to the Chinese Australian community.

Ambassador Xiao extended Chinese New Year's greetings to Her Excellency the Honorable Governor-General Sam Mostyn, the Chinese community in Australia, and the Australian people. He highlighted that the Spring Festival originated in China and belongs to the world, the shared celebration of this festival by the people from China and Australia， expresses the universal aspirations for harmony, unity and peace. Over the past year, China-Australia relations have maintained positive momentum and achieved steady progresses. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Australian side to promote greater progress in the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Australia, and looks forward to the Chinese community in Australia continuing to play an active role in promoting China–Australia friendship.

During the event, artistic groups from Chinese communities across Australia and other ethnic communities in Canberra presented a vibrant New Year celebration performance.
